Celebrate Summer with a Backyard Brunch
This past week, I moved in to my new house! Lots of trips to the hardware store and unpacking but eventually I’ll get it picture-ready and share some pics with ya’ll!
The one thing I’m SO excited about this summer is hosting BACKYARD BASHES. I hope to have at least a couple of parties after I get back from the honeymoon. With the wedding behind me at that point, I’ll be ready to plan something else… Â What better than a backyard party!
BACKYARD BRUNCH
Brunch is such a fun + casual backyard party to host this summer. Pick a color palette like soothing peach + aqua for a refreshing atmosphere for guests!
Outdoor Brunch Menu Ideas
- Croque Madame Breakfast Cups
- The Best Blueberry Banana Bread
- Homemade Coconut Walnut Granola
- Champagne Punch
- Fresh Fruit Kebabs
You can even use the grill for these (or get the hubby involved + have him grill skewered fruit). If you don’t have aqua or peach dishes (because, let’s be real, not everyone has a rainbow assortment of dishes in their house).. use white or glass! They will blend beautifully with the pops of color from a table covering (use fabric!) and little brunch details (striped straws)!
CHIC LUAU
Invite a few favorite friends over this summer and turn your backyard into a fancy chic luau! Kick the traditional “aloha” celebration up a notch by choosing tropical colors (like tangerine!) and serving up sweet ‘n delish island favorites like chicken + pineapple skewers and coconut sorbet served in a half-coconut. Light up the tiki torches and greet guests at the door with matching leis for a backyard bash sure to please! Don’t be afraid to mix + match dinnerware for a colorful, Hawaiian vibe!

Ah, how I love Backyards get together’s and summer! Thank you for the inspiration.
I love pineapple and mango on the grill but never thought of adding french toast to it! Thanks for the great idea!
id like to know where to find the tablecloth for the chic luau
Great table! I’d like to know where you got those awesome blue/green square plates that the coconut sorbet is sitting on.
